in her wonderful Almanac the moon has waned through Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra and Scorpio and now sits in the sign of Sagittarius. Expansive Sagittarius-the forth and final zodiac sign of Autumn- offers an opportunity for growth, gratitude and optimism. Despite these offerings, it’s also important to honour that this is typically a time of year for over-indulgence and overwhelm with just 5 weeks until the Winter Solstice. In the Northern Hemisphere the Winter Solstice marks the shortest day - a time when our ancestors believed the sun stood still for 12 days and so a Yule log was lit to mark the passing of this dark time.
